FIND AN IMAGE, VIDEO, MUSIC OR SOUND
So you have a presentation, project, paper, or assignment of some kind that requires a picture, video, music, or sounds?
First of all, our HHS Subscription Databases should be your first stop. Email me or a teacher to get the password for ProQuest and EBSCO. Britannica should have a direct link. In the databases you will find images, maps, timelines, and videos. If you cannot find what you are looking for there, keep reading!
Most students (and adults) are used to going to Google images and copying a picture. It is important to know that most Google images are copyrighted and cannot be used unless permission is given by the artist.
Below are some links to very good, smart sources that give you access to copyright free music, images and multimedia for use in your projects.
What is Creative Commons??
A non-profit organization founded on the notion that some authors may not want to exercise all of the intellectual property rights the law affords them. Creative Commons has developed a set of free public licenses to enable authors to share their work with others.
